“Love Multiplies,” an initiative of the Mexican Coca-Cola Industry to promote agents of change

Committed to sustainable development in the country, Bepensa as part of the Mexican Coca-Cola Industry They present “Love Multiplies,” a project through which we invite all Mexicans to join forces to develop initiatives along four axes: promoting female talent, community well-being, water conservation, and a recycling culture.

This movement begins with a media campaign, evolving into a social development platform where citizens, organizations, and authorities can become agents of change, proposing and participating in activities such as the rehabilitation of public spaces, beach and water cleanups, training for entrepreneurs, and circular economy projects.

Through its website (www.coca-colamexico.com.mx/el-amor-multiplica) and our social networks (@SomosCocaCola and @Bepensa), we will share various national and local calls and initiatives throughout the year. Likewise, these digital spaces will serve as forums so that, using the hashtag #ElAmorMultiplica, users can submit solutions and proposals to spark positive changes in their cities.

These actions are part of the path taken by the Mexican Coca-Cola Industry since its arrival in the country in 1926 and by Bepensa for the past 75 years. To date, more than 400,000 women and entrepreneurs have been supported through development programs, community well-being is promoted through the Coca-Cola Foundation and the Bepensa Foundation, and more than 100,000 direct jobs and more than 1.3 million indirect jobs are created. We have become the country's leading recycler, processing 85,000 tons of PET annually and working to recover 100% of the water used in the production of our products.

In the Yucatan Peninsula, Bepensa as part of the Mexican Coca-Cola Industry, promotes ReQPET, our ongoing PET collection program, which promotes a recycling culture and habits, as well as proper waste disposal in society, through infrastructure deployment, PET collection services, and educational talks. In 2021 alone, Bepensa prevented more than 134 tons of waste from entering the environment.

Additionally, during that year, we also installed more than 200 PET collection points in small stores, and more than 1,800 female shopkeepers across the Peninsula were supported by the "Empowering Women and Small Businesses" initiative, which focuses on promoting their social, economic, and digital development, boosting their success through a personal and business training plan.

“Love is a feeling that unites, transforms, and motivates us to be better, because when we work together, we know that great things happen. Today, as we have for 95 years, we invite all Mexicans to join this movement. We want to listen to them, walk hand in hand, and propose solutions to generate positive changes in their communities and environments. No action is too small. Together we are Coca-Cola, and with you, Love Multiplies.”.

– Sergio Londoño, Vice President of Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability for Coca-Cola Mexico.

At Bepensa, we are motivated and driven by our love for Mexico and its people; a feeling we demonstrate every day through our actions and deeds, to continue building the future we all dream of.
