The World Health Organization y la United Nations General Assembly (UN) proclaimed the period 2021-2030 as the “Second Decade of Action for Road Safety,” which aims to reduce deaths and injuries caused by traffic accidents by at least 50% from 2021 to 2030.
Aligned with these objectives, in Mexico the National Association of Private Transportation (ANTP) created the "National Road Safety Award" (PNSV) that recognizes private freight transport fleets, companies licensed by the federal public service, and/or their drivers that have implemented good practices in freight transport operations to help prevent road accidents, both on urban roads and on federal highways, and significantly reduce fatalities, injuries and other impacts caused by these.
Recognition involves observing a process focused on diagnosing and evaluating the degree of implementation of the guidelines established in the "Road Safety Management Manual" in alignment with international standards ISO 39001-2012.
In Bepensa BeveragesWe are committed to the safety of our employees and society at large, which is why we are pleased that our Pacabtún Bottling Plant has been successfully evaluated for road safety compliance based on ISO 39001-2012 standards.
A total of 10 transport operators from different plants were registered to represent Bepensa Bebidas in the evaluation of highly trained drivers. They received recognition from the National Association of Private Transport (ANTP) for having obtained first place in the category of Urban Transport Driving of Private Cargo in Unitary Trucks Over 8 Tons.
Likewise, Bepensa Bebidas was recognized for achieving Excellent Performance in the road safety management manual certification in the urban transportation category. In particular, the National Association of Private Transportation (ANTP) presented Bepensa Bebidas with a special recognition for operator Juan Antonio Cruz Diaz, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame for having 35 years without collisions.
Among the companies that participated and received this recognition were Bimbo, FEMSA, Grupo Modelo, Palacio de Hierro, CEMEX, and Estafeta, among others.
