Bepensa stands out as a company committed to human rights.

The Yucatán State Human Rights Commission awarded the "Companies Committed to Human Rights" distinction to 17 companies that stood out for their efforts to protect and respect human rights.

In a ceremony held at Canacintra Yucatán, the President of CODHEY, Miguel Oscar Sabido Santana; the Undersecretary of Government and Political Development of the State Government, José Carlos Puerto Patrón; the Director of Economic Development and Tourism of the Mérida City Council, José Luis Martínez Semerena; the President of the Yucatán Businesswomen Association (AC), representing the Business Coordinating Council, María Eugenia Marín Vázquez; and the President of the Board of Directors of the State Congress, Erik José Rihani González, presented the awards to the representatives of the participating companies.

In her welcome address, María Eugenia Marín Vázquez highlighted the role that businesses play in building a better world, contributing to the development of the state's economy and protecting human rights.

For his part, the President of CODHEY stated that a coexistence based on human rights is founded on the principle of equality, which requires putting its promotion and respect into practice; as well as adopting a multidisciplinary and systematic perspective in the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of policies that promote equality, violence-free spaces, and against any act of discrimination or that violates human dignity and seeks to nullify or undermine the rights and freedoms of individuals.

This is why this distinction has the following objectives:

-Recognize and disseminate inclusive, equal, and equitable labor policies.

-Promote job inclusion and accessibility policies for people with disabilities or those who are included in a priority care group.

-Promote the autonomy and independence of people on equal terms.

-Raise awareness in workplaces about the potential and capabilities of employees, regardless of any disability.

This distinction is valid for one year and certifies that companies like Bepensa, beyond their own pursuit of their own goals, create the conditions for unrestricted respect for the rights of every human being, not only in the workplace, but also in their surroundings, with their staff, families, and, in general, with their community. This means that our efforts to contribute more than just products and services have great value.

At Bepensa, we are proud to be a company that upholds human rights in our daily activities, integrating them into our organization and taking steps forward as a society. Businesses are the main drivers of our country's economy, and this Distinction recognizes the great effort and dedication reflected in each of our employees, achieving better coexistence based on human rights.
