The bottling company has earned Great Place to Work certification for the third time, as a result of its people management, practices, and internal initiatives.
For the third consecutive year, Bepensa Dominicana received Great Place to Work Central America and the Caribbean certification for being one of the best places to work in 2018. The company stood out during the evaluation thanks to its retention strategies, talent development, training, and succession plans.
The Great Place to Work Institute considered aspects such as the integration of company staff into efforts to improve the workplace environment, as well as its employee inclusion and diversity policies, which directly impact the recruitment of top talent.
In addition, GPTW considered the initiatives taken by the bottling company to promote gender equality, such as the opening of a lactation room for female employees and the implementation of a protocol for addressing abuse both inside and outside the facilities. It is worth noting that these measures made Bepensa Dominicana the first company in the manufacturing sector in the country to be awarded the Igualando RD Gold Seal.
Regarding the Great Place to Work certification, José Ottoniel Aybar, Executive Vice President of Bepensa Dominicana, emphasized that "great workplaces achieve the organization's goals by inspiring, communicating, and listening. They have employees who give their best when they are appreciated, developed, and cared for."
The executive also said that "it's extremely important to have the Great Place to Work work environment assessment, because it gives us a specific understanding of what makes our people feel comfortable and what we need to improve."
The award was presented to Jonathan Nouel, Director of Human Development at Bepensa Dominicana, by Hugo Caccuri Jr., Managing Partner of the Great Place to Work Institute for Mexico, Central America & the Caribbean. Nouel stated that "being recognized for the third consecutive time demonstrates the organization's commitment at all levels to working as a team and improving the overall well-being of each employee."
He added that "being among the best companies to work for reinforces our pride and commitment to belonging to an organization that cares about its people, its families, and the community."
Currently, Bepensa Dominicana has 2,628 jobs. As part of its policies, the bottling company strives to motivate each and every member, regardless of their level in the organization, by utilizing a participatory communication model.
