As a sustainable company committed to the environment, through our Bepensa Beverages division, part of the Coca-Cola Mexican Industry, we are committed to continuing to advance the implementation of infrastructure strategies that enable the use of clean and renewable energy.
This has been demonstrated by an investment of more than $13.5 million pesos in electric vehicles for the production and marketing of its products.

The vehicles were purchased from BYD—the world's largest manufacturer of vehicle battery technology—which offer competitive advantages and environmental friendliness, as they emit no greenhouse gases by transforming the electrical energy from their rechargeable batteries without the need for fossil fuels. This acquisition is estimated to prevent 510 tons of CO2 emissions, equivalent to the amount captured by 841 hectares of forest per year.
In addition to these benefits, these vehicles also contribute to preventing noise pollution, as their electric motors are silent, improving the surrounding sound environment.
Henrique Braun, Coca-Cola's Director of Operations for Latin America, and other brand executives were present at the production plant located in Pacabtún, Mérida, as part of the project's launch.
For several years, Bepensa has been incorporating these important innovations focused on the use of sustainable technologies and reducing its carbon footprint in its processes. These include photovoltaic systems, the supply of clean energy for its production processes, and efficient waste management for recycling.
