Bepensa Industrial participates in the 2022 Forestry Crusade of the Mérida City Council

Bepensa Industrial joins Bepensa's global commitment to the environment and sustainability by participating in the Mérida City Council's Forestry Crusade.

This forestry campaign is carried out annually with the participation of the Mérida City Council, along with several civil society organizations, local residents, and socially responsible companies such as Bepensa.

The closing event took place in the Las Américas subdivision, where plants were planted along avenues, sidewalks, and medians, covering a large area. Carlos Martín Briceño, Director of the Bepensa Foundation, participated. He discussed the importance of joining forces to implement initiatives as important to the environment as reforestation. In addition to refreshing and cleaning the environment, it also contributes to the absorption of greenhouse gases and the collection of water to replenish aquifers.

Likewise, Alejandra Bolio Rojas, Director of the Sustainable Development Unit of the Mérida City Council, highlighted the importance of having met the reforestation goal of 15,000 trees this year, recognizing the efforts of those present for their valuable contributions.

For her part, Josefina Dib Matú, Head of Communications, Change, and Culture at Bepensa Industrial, highlighted the pride we feel in being part of the Corporate Volunteering movement and participating in environmental activities in the communities where we operate.

At Bepensa, we are proud to be able to join forces in favor of the environment through the participation of the Bepensa Industrial Business Volunteer Program in the Mérida City Council's Forestry Crusade, demonstrating that when we work together #LoveMultiplies
