For the ninth consecutive year, the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (Cemefi) and the Alliance for Corporate Social Responsibility (AliaRSE) awarded the ESR® 2018 Distinction for successfully meeting standards in strategic areas of corporate social responsibility.
Mr. Andrés Zentella Ortega, Director of Corporate Affairs at Bepensa, received the award at the XI Latin American Meeting of Socially Responsible Companies, which took place on May 17 at the WTC Mexico City and focused on "Disruptive companies, businesses with value."
A Socially Responsible Company (ESR) is one that bases its vision and commitment on policies, programs, decision-making, and actions that benefit its business and positively impact the people, the environment, and the communities in which it operates, going beyond its obligations and meeting its expectations.
Obtaining the ESR® Distinction is based on a self-assessment process, supported by documents from the company and verified by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (Cemefi). The ESR® Distinction is awarded to companies that exceed 75% of the CSR index.
