We are thrilled to share that Bepensa has received the 2021 ESR award in the Large Companies of Yucatán category.
Bepensa is deeply honored to receive this distinction in five of our companies, as we employ more than 15,000 people, basing our operations on five strategic pillars: People, Safety, Financial Discipline, Customer Focus, and Corporate Responsibility. Since our inception, we have been at the forefront of the commercial and industrial sectors, where we participate thanks to our leadership vision and hard work.
Receiving this distinction for 12 consecutive years, and even more so in a year as complex and challenging as 2020, is even more rewarding. At Bepensa, as at all companies in Mexico and around the world, we have had to redefine and adapt our operations to safeguard both our employees and the communities where we operate.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, our main objective has been to maintain the health of our employees, allowing many of them to work remotely if they fell into the High-Risk category. In addition, administrative staff or those whose duties permitted it were also sent home to work under a home office arrangement, with the assurance of keeping their jobs.
However, we maintain all hygiene and safety protocols in all our workplaces, ensuring the well-being of our employees, their families, our clients, and the community at large. This way, we take care of each other.
Aware of the needs that arose during this pandemic, Bepensa supported medical personnel with medical equipment, sanitary supplies, safety supplies, and hydration. Likewise, our customers in stores and businesses received safety and hygiene supplies, as well as protective face shields and masks so they could continue their operations safely.
RegaLove It emerged during this pandemic as a platform through which companies and individuals can make donations to support the most vulnerable population, as well as associations dedicated to serving those most in need. The Bepensa Foundation maintained its commitment to double its contributions so that aid would reach many more people.
