Bepensa receives the Purple Distinction for its commitment to eradicating violence against women.

Campeche, October 9, 2024 – As part of its ongoing commitment to social responsibility and gender equality, Bepensa has received the Purple Distinction, a recognition awarded by the Women's Institute of the State of Campeche (IMEC). This distinction is given to companies that implement affirmative action to prevent gender-based violence and ensure safe work environments for women.

The event took place at the Bepensa Bebidas facilities in the city of Campeche, where an official ceremony was held with the participation of IMEC officials, including the General Director, Vania María Kelleher Hernández, Carlos Novelo Álvarez, Human Development Manager of Bepensa Bebidas Campeche, and representatives from various areas of the company.

In her speech, Novelo Álvarez highlighted Bepensa's commitment to creating inclusive and safe work environments and noted that this recognition reflects the actions they have implemented to prevent all forms of violence in the workplace and ensure that our employees feel safe at all times.

The Purple Distinction is the result of a series of joint efforts between IMEC and various state-owned companies, aimed at promoting the creation of safe, violence-free workplaces for women. With this distinction, Bepensa reaffirms its commitment to continue working to prevent and address gender-based violence, strengthening its equity policies within the organization.

In her speech, Ms. Vania Kelleher Hernández recognized the importance of companies like Bepensa joining these initiatives, emphasizing that corporate social responsibility should not only focus on economic sustainability but also on the overall well-being of its people.

The event concluded with the official presentation of the Purple Badge to Bepensa and an official photo with the authorities present, sealing the company's commitment to promoting a more equitable and safer work environment for all its employees.

With this distinction, Bepensa reinforces its leadership in social responsibility in the region, remaining at the forefront of implementing policies that promote well-being, gender equality, and the eradication of workplace violence.
