Menéndez Reyes, Corporate Affairs Manager at Bepensa, participated in the panel discussion "Integration of Sustainability, Challenges and Benefits in Restaurants," as part of the Hospitality Summit, within the framework of Abastur 2023, the leading exhibition in Mexico and Latin America for suppliers to the HORECA sector (Hotels, Restaurants and Cafeterias).
This panel addressed current and future challenges in adopting sustainable practices in restaurants, and analyzed the true benefits of this growing trend.
The participating experts shared success stories, effective strategies, and best practices for integrating sustainability into all aspects of restaurant operations, from waste management to energy efficiency and the promotion of local and organic products.
The event provided an opportunity to discuss various approaches and actions being taken at the corporate level on this issue. Carlos Garriga, Director of the Spanish Foundation We Are Water, moderated the event, along with Gustavo Pérez Berlanga, Director of Social Responsibility at Grupo Restaurantero Gigante, and Érika Valencia, General Manager of Ectágono.
