On January 25th and 26th, the Yucatán Siglo XXI Convention Center hosted the 2019 Yucatán Energy Expo Forum, the first of its kind in Yucatán and a precedent for a culture of energy efficiency. Cummins Megamak participated as a sponsor of the event.
The main objective of the 2019 Energy Expo Forum was to serve as a bridge between companies, such as Cummins Megamak, that offer energy alternatives, and the general public, including entrepreneurs and industrialists who seek such alternatives in their quest to optimize energy and fuel consumption in their daily work.
As part of the activities, we participated in the conference Opportunities and Benefits of Cogeneration in Mexico, given by William Martin Ramirez, commercial manager of the Southeast region of Cummins Megamak, who emphasized that "generating one's own electricity on-site, making processes more productive, providing energy to remote locations, and highly reliable electricity supply are some of the benefits offered by Cogeneration, a process through which useful electrical energy and thermal energy are obtained simultaneously."
He emphasized that other benefits of cogeneration include savings on electricity bills, tax advantages, clean energy certifications, and predictable costs. Selecting the appropriate cogeneration technology for each requirement depends on several factors; however, the appropriate fuels for the cogeneration process, the technology, and the size of the plants can be customized for each application.
The Expo Forum was attended by a large number of visitors and featured prominent commentators on political and economic issues.
Cummins Megamak, as part of Bepensa's industrial division, is proud to promote these types of events, which seek to improve the quality of life in Yucatán and find sustainable alternatives to build a better future.
