International Volunteer Day is a call to all governments, businesses, and associations to promote volunteerism, support their efforts, and recognize their contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
Volunteering helps you acquire and develop various skills, as it not only demonstrates interest and concern for others, but also involves carrying out an activity, effort, or project that can be used as professional experience.
To maintain this collaborative environment, companies have been busy developing projects, partnerships, and other actions that translate into social and environmental benefits, and corporate volunteering is an ideal model for this.
At Bepensa, we believe it is the responsibility of our employees and their families to add value and contribute to the development of the communities where we operate, leaving a "local footprint." To this end, we promote voluntary participation in various social initiatives, independent of our Foundation's activities, through our Corporate Volunteering program.
This is our commitment to use our time, talent, and resources to be agents of change and make a positive difference with our initiatives wherever we operate. We channel these initiatives into three lines of action:
Community development
We seek to improve the quality of life in the communities where Bepensa operates through community outreach, educational work, and charitable actions in the event of natural disasters.
Environmental conservation
We take action to prevent and control water, soil, and air pollution, while also raising environmental awareness among children through initiatives such as the Bepensa Biopark, coastal and waterway cleanup programs, and inclusive recycling, among others.
Education
Through the "Mentorship" program for women artisans and the "Ser Grande" program, which provides scholarships to low-income children, we seek to help these two population groups develop their intellectual capacities and skills, enabling them to improve their quality of life and break the cycle of poverty.
At Bepensa, as a Socially Responsible Company, we encourage our employees to participate in activities that leave a positive legacy in our communities.
