Santo Domingo. – The Minister of LaborLuis Miguel De Camps García visited the Bepensa production plant in the Dominican Republic to learn about the progress made in production, job creation, and quality standards at our Bepensa bottling plant as part of the Coca-Cola System in the country.
De Camps was welcomed by Fernando del Río, general manager of Bepensa in the Dominican Republic, who highlighted the company's pillars, including its employees, sustainability, financial discipline, customer service, and corporate responsibility.
De Camps expressed his gratitude for the invitation and offered the various General Directorates of the Ministry of Labor the opportunity to proactively develop and strengthen joint plans.
"The Dominican government will always be willing to participate not only in plans to increase employment, but also in the continued improvement of freedom of association, training, and a positive working environment.", the official added.
He also invited executives to work with the National Employment Service (SENAE) to organize and expand recruitment activities with job fairs and workshops that will ensure their vacancies are filled.
Fernando del Río presented the multinational's expansion plans, highlighting the country's strong climate of confidence, which will enable the company to increase its investments in the coming years.
During the visit, Bepensa's Director of Corporate Public Affairs, Juan Roberto Amell, demonstrated Bepensa's reach as part of the Coca-Cola System in the country, noting that it has a production plant, 18 distribution centers, and more than 2,400 employees, who offer 10 non-alcoholic beverage brands to the Dominican market.
The company's global commitment to mitigate the impact of plastic waste and its alliances with entities and programs for education, awareness and waste collection were also presented, as well as the plans applied for the conservation of the country's watersheds in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (ODS).
The Minister of Labor toured the Bepensa production plant with Deputy Minister Marie Laure Aristy, as well as Deputy Ministers Julián Mateo, Demetrio Polanco, and Juan Antonio Estévez.
