Let's undertake together in the Dominican Republic

Let's Start Together, an initiative led by Bepensa Dominicana and the Coca-Cola Company and implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and MSMEs, is tasked with strengthening and developing the capacities of entrepreneurs in neighborhoods across the Dominican Republic.

Thousands of micro-entrepreneurs from grocery stores and cafes have completed their training, a significant portion of them having the honor of receiving a graduation certificate that accredits them as graduates of the program. “Let’s Start Together”, in an event led by the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, in the city of Santiago.

This program, promoted by Bepensa, Coca-Cola, and the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and MSMEs in the Dominican Republic, seeks to support the development of entrepreneurs who, through their grocery stores and food businesses, boost the economy and strengthen the social fabric of each Dominican neighborhood.

Since its launch at the National Palace in November 2021, the "Let's Start Together" program has trained more than 5,000 retailers in all aspects necessary for the progress of their businesses, such as administration, marketing, customer service, digitalization, and finance.

During its first year of implementation, the project received the "Promising Practices 2022" award from the National Council of Private Enterprises and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) for its contribution to five of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): quality education, gender equality, decent work and economic growth, reducing inequalities, and building partnerships.

At Bepensa, we continue working for the well-being and economic, social, and environmental development of our communities.
