At Bepensa, we're excited to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Glacial, one of our proudly Mexican companies in our Industrial division, providing cold solutions to maintain our customers' success. That's a great number, and today we celebrate our growth.
Our story begins in 1978, in Mérida, Yucatán, a city full of opportunities in a Mexico that was transforming, just like Bepensa. It began as a refrigeration area serving our bottling plant, which was called "Refresquera Peninsular." Throughout the 1980s, it grew, strengthened, and demonstrated its potential. In 1991, it changed its name to "Metaplus" and opened its plant with its own brand of chillers: Glacial.
Time has passed, we've grown, and today Glacial provides comprehensive refrigeration solutions through the design, manufacturing, and marketing of commercial ice coolers and storage units for the food and beverage industry, using proprietary technology and rigorous environmental policies. It has nationwide coverage and exports to the Caribbean, South America, Central America, and North America.
