The recognition was given to 32 companies in the state, with Grupo Bepensa holding the distinction for the longest period of time, accumulating 14 in 2023. Bepensa is a business group with a presence in 26 states in Mexico, as well as in Florida and South Carolina in the United States, and throughout the Dominican Republic. By operating under best practices, we will continue to implement sustainable and efficient management in each of our companies."

Beatriz Gómory Correa, president of the Business and Corporate Coordinating Council Coparmex in Yucatán, external: “I consider Yucatecan entrepreneurs to be one big family. We are those who have been here in the past, those who work in the present, and those who will remain in the future with our families, with future generations… Those of us who are here today are companies with more than 22,000 employees in Yucatán alone. What we all have in common is that, from the very beginning, it has been in our DNA to be co-responsible for building a state with a better quality of life.”

Mauricio Vila Dosal, Governor of Yucatán, added that the state will continue to combat inequality and poverty, thus avoiding the violence seen in various parts of the country and achieving a more equitable state through joint efforts.

During the presentation of the ESR award, the mayor of Mérida, Renán Barrera Concha, highlighted the commitment of the business sector to contributing to the state's social, economic, and environmental balance, emphasizing the sense of social responsibility that prevails among Yucatecan businesspeople, especially in Mérida.
