Last Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Montesinos Beach, Coca-Cola and Bepensa Dominicana, with the support of the Coca-Cola Foundation, joined forces for a day to implement the Circular Seas project, an initiative that seeks to reduce waste in marine environments and beaches.
These types of activities also seek to promote recycling and consolidate a database that serves as a guide for everyone.
Together we can do anything
The world needs change, and it certainly takes many hands to make it happen. The event was attended by Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, Mayor's Office of the National District, the Blue Life Foundation, the entity representing The Ocean Conservancy in the country; The Nature Conservancy, as well as EDUCA and the APEC University.
Likewise, several collaborators did not hesitate for a minute and participated as volunteers, covering a significant area to remove all the waste.
A hard work
We are mindful of the spaces around us, where we enjoy a unique connection with nature. That's why the Coca-Cola System has been conducting these cleanups across the country for 15 years, helping ensure that all collected waste is properly disposed of.
The planet is everyone's home, and it is our duty to care for it. Every day, we must educate ourselves about environmental stewardship and participate in programs that promote its protection. Circular Seas is undoubtedly the most ambitious cleanup project because it also includes the reintegration of collected waste into the value chain and, above all, promotes recycling, education, and the consolidation of information that serves as a guide for everyone.
Let's take care of the planet!
If we all do our part, the planet will undoubtedly be a better place. Taking care of our beaches ensures that marine life is protected and that we can all continue to enjoy this natural beauty responsibly.
Don't forget, we must all unite for #WorldWithoutWaste.
