Providing opportunities for children from low-income backgrounds who have excellent grades and a desire to learn is the primary objective of the Ser Grande program.

The Ser Grande program, through voluntary donations from Bepensa Group employees, seeks to award scholarships directly to the most outstanding children in their class whose financial difficulties jeopardize their continued attendance at school. Thanks to their generosity, more than 200 girls and boys are currently receiving scholarships at the following schools:
Avelino Montes Linaje School in Mérida, Yucatán
- Basque Quiroga School in Mérida, Yucatán
- Guadalupe Victoria School in Progreso, Yucatán
- Tizimín School in Tizimín, Yucatán
- Victoria School in Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche.
- La Salle Pelopidas Institute in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo
- La Salle Cancun Institute 239 in Cancun, Quintana Roo
- Claudina Thevenet School in Mexico City
- Martín de Coruña School in Guadalajara, Jalisco
- Querétaro Marist School, Querétaro
- Fray Pedro de Gante School in Salinas de Hidalgo, SLP.
The scholarships cover the costs of annual registration, monthly tuition, books, supplies, uniforms, and prescription glasses for children whose families live in poverty and extreme poverty.
Scholarship recipients must maintain a minimum grade point average of 8. Throughout the school year, they stay in touch through letters, photographs, and drawings.
