Road safety, occupational health, and safety at work for our employees are among our highest priorities at Bepensa. We know that the excellence of our products and services, as well as the optimal development of our team members, depend largely on the working conditions we provide so they can perform their daily tasks impeccably.
We have a Sustainability Manual, in which we commit to promoting a culture of health and safety throughout the organization. The Sustainability Department is responsible for identifying, managing, and assessing workplace risks, as well as implementing initiatives and programs in this area.
We provide health and safety training to all employees and encourage them to report accidents and unsafe behaviors based on the behavior-based safety model. This tool seeks to change attitudes toward incident prevention by anticipating risks and responding promptly to potential consequences to reduce the likelihood of accidents occurring.
To maintain a culture of civil protection, we have various brigades to respond to emergencies or disasters: Fire Brigades, Search and Rescue, Evacuation, and First Aid. Additionally, as part of the Business Continuity Plan, we communicate to all employees the actions to follow in the event of natural disasters (earthquakes, fires, hurricanes, among others) or social damage, such as cyberattacks.
We also establish operational controls to ensure that our facilities, machinery, and equipment are in optimal safety conditions, through compliance with standards, procedures, and work plans that allow us to eliminate, control, and mitigate risks.
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have strengthened safety measures, taking extreme precautions and implementing all necessary protocols to safeguard the health of our employees and prevent infection in our workplaces.
Likewise, we have provided our business partners, such as stores, kitchens, restaurants, and establishments in general, with safety kits that include acrylic screens, protective masks, 70% alcohol-based hand sanitizer, as well as prevention guides and manuals so they can continue operating under the regulatory statutes.
At Bepensa, we continue working for the health and safety of our employees in the communities where we operate. Learn about our actions during 2020 at https://bepensa.com/unidospodemostodo/
