Coca-Cola System receives Cannes Lion For GOOD

The award was presented on May 24 during the Closing Gala of Cannes Dominicana and received by Marlen Gómez of Coca-Cola and Juan Amell of Bepensa.

For GOOD recognizes companies that, through their actions in Corporate Social Responsibility, inclusion, environment, and sustainability, make the Dominican Republic a better country. It represents the sum of successful initiatives addressing inequalities or seeking changes for the benefit of all.

We thank Cannes Lions Dominican Republic for the recognition in the For Good category for our efforts to preserve water, promote a recycling culture, and foster economic empowerment.

This is a distinction we receive with great humility and one that reinforces our commitment to the country.

Somos Muchos is the campaign through which the Coca-Cola System, comprised of The Coca-Cola Company and its bottler, Bepensa Dominicana, demonstrates its commitment to refreshing the world and making a difference through three approaches: water conservation, strengthening a recycling culture, and economic empowerment.

Under the first pillar, the Water for the Future program seeks to return 100% of the water used in product manufacturing to nature. The global commitment to "A World Without Waste" seeks to recover the equivalent of 100% of the packaging placed on the market and make it 100% recyclable. The flagship initiative, "Let's Start Together" with Coca-Cola, promoted in conjunction with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, has managed to promote the business growth of more than five thousand businesses in 18 of the 32 provinces of the Dominican Republic.
