As part of #WorldEnergyDay, we want to share with our community the results we've achieved through the implementation of clean energy, as well as improvements in resource management in our operations, reducing our carbon footprint and promoting sustainability.
In the areas of manufacturing, logistics, and distribution, we have significantly reduced our carbon footprint since 2015.
Our goal as part of the Mexican Coca-Cola Industry By 2030, our goal is to reduce CO2 and greenhouse gas emissions by 25%. We are pleased to announce that by 2021, we had already exceeded this goal, reducing emissions by 29%, equivalent to 32,157 fewer tons emitted. In environmental terms, this represents the CO2 captured by 53,075 hectares of forest per year or the emissions of 23,263 cars per year.
