The Bepensa Foundation strengthens the humanitarian work of the Mexican Red Cross.

Contribute resources for the operation of a fully equipped ambulance in the municipality of Valladolid

To support the humanitarian work of the Mexican Red Cross, the Bepensa Foundation and other organizations donated funds for the purchase and delivery of an equipped ambulance to the institution's branch in the municipality of Valladolid.

The president of the Bepensa Foundation, Margarita Ponce Díaz, highlighted the Foundation's close relationship with the worthy institution, a volunteer association focused on community service.

Ponce Díaz emphasized the importance of supporting the institution, highlighting the work it does by mobilizing networks of volunteers and donors to implement programs focused on preserving health, saving lives, and mitigating human suffering.

Like the Red Cross, the Bepensa Foundation is committed to the well-being and health of the state's communities, which is why it has partnered with the renowned institution on several occasions to support the most needy sectors.

At the ceremony held at the relief institution's facilities at the North Base in the Gonzalo Guerrero neighborhood of this city, the properly equipped unit was formally handed over to the head of the Red Cross delegation in Valladolid, Dianela Alcocer Méndez.

Michelle Byrne de Rodríguez, state delegate of the Mexican Red Cross in Yucatán, expressed her gratitude to the companies that made it possible to collect donations to purchase an ambulance at a cost of 1.6 million pesos for the provision of emergency services in the eastern part of the state, and presented recognitions to the directors of the donor companies.

The Valladolid delegation has six paramedics and two ambulances, which in 2024 provided 473 emergency services, said Michelle Byrne in her speech, explaining that the institution has 29 units throughout the state that require constant renewal.

In this regard, the Bepensa Foundation has maintained a close relationship with the Red Cross to strengthen its response capacity and provide quality care to the community, as was the case in 2021 when two ambulances were delivered to the city of Mérida.

This ongoing partnership of efforts and commitment to the community was reaffirmed a year ago with the donation of two ventilators.

The Bepensa Foundation constantly works to promote community health through its Día B Por Tu Salud program, which focuses on the care and prevention of chronic degenerative diseases in municipalities within the state, including Hunucmá, Progreso, Tekax, Buctzotz, and Espita, and previously Chumayel, Kantunil, Tunkás, and Sotuta.

In addition to its ongoing, free physical activity promotion and nutritional monitoring program called Actívate+, which is present in the three states of the Peninsula, as well as on its online platform.

The event was attended by executives from the Bepensa Foundation, including Carlos Martín Briceño, director; and Adriana Rosado Flores, head of Social Development and Health; as well as Jimena Vidal Cañetas, executive of Bomssa; and the mayor of the district, Homero Novelo Burgos; among others.
