At Bepensa, we aim to promote an inclusive, active, and healthy lifestyle for our employees and their families.
The more than one billion women and men with disabilities worldwide know that inclusion in the workforce, and in society in general, involves a long road ahead, requiring them to overcome many obstacles.
The good news is that today, companies are creating more opportunities than ever to break down these obstacles and shorten the path to attracting the talent of people with disabilities, because they have realized the richness this brings to their work culture, as well as to the development of society and the economy as a whole.
For Bepensa, this is something it has been working on as part of its corporate culture for over 15 years. Recently, in 2015, Bepensa joined the "Éntrale" initiative, the National Alliance for the Labor Inclusion of People with Disabilities, led by the Mexican Business Council. Through various initiatives, the initiative aims to promote a culture of true inclusion.
Today was an opportunity to continue advancing an inclusive culture together with the Institute for the Inclusion of People with Disabilities of the State of Yucatán (IIPEDEY), as demonstrated by the activities held at the Pacabtún bottling plant of Bepensa Bebidas, part of the Mexican Coca-Cola Industry.
Around 20 people with disabilities and related organizations received a welcome message from Bepensa's Director of Human Development, Gerardo Ruibal Flores, who noted that for Bepensa, this is a great opportunity to continue building a more inclusive society and strengthen the company with its talent. He was accompanied by María Vázquez, Director of IIPEDEY, Agustín Menéndez, and the Undersecretary of Labor of SEFOET, who expressed their gratitude for the support in establishing this alliance.
After the welcome, the interview process began with Human Development executives, as an initial step in the selection and recruitment process at Bepensa.
It's worth noting that Bepensa, as a Socially Responsible Company, already has more than 100 people with disabilities collaborating in its various companies and seeks to increase their number every day, as the multiple benefits they bring to the company and the positive impact this gives contribute to the well-being of Mexico.
