Bepensa Foundation and Bepensa in the Dominican Republic, joined the efforts of the Food Bank of the country, to contribute to the well-being of vulnerable communities.
Both entities signed a collaboration agreement, in which the Bepensa Foundation will contribute an amount exceeding RD$600,000 over a six-month period for this purpose. The agreement consists of a monthly donation of products from the Bepensa Beverages portfolio in the Dominican Republic. These products will be distributed at various locations identified by the Food Bank, benefiting low-income populations.
"We are pleased to be able to forge partnerships that positively impact the country's vulnerable population. In addition to being a good neighbor to the communities where we operate, helping to improve the quality of life in the communities where Bepensa is present is part of the Bepensa Foundation's mission.", highlighted Carlos Martín Briceño, director of the Bepensa Foundation.
He also reiterated the Foundation's commitment to continue adding value and empowering Dominicans by encouraging them to join various initiatives related to well-being, recycling culture, and education, in addition to forging agreements with institutions working to benefit Dominican communities.
Julinna Staffeld, executive director of the Food Bank, thanked the Bepensa Foundation for joining this initiative and contributing to the efforts they are making to alleviate hunger in the Dominican Republic through food rescue and distribution.
"We appreciate this altruistic action by the Bepensa Foundation to provide food rations, these products that we deliver each month to those most in need.", Staffeld added.
Each month's donations are made jointly by the Food Bank and representatives of the Bepensa Foundation.
At the Bepensa Foundation, we are proud to be able to make a positive impact in the communities where we operate.
