Mérida, Yucatán, May 21, 2024 – With an attendance of more than 550 people, the Bepensa Foundation held the Macro Class of the program Activate + At the La Inalámbrica Sports Center, commemorating its 12th anniversary and also celebrating Mother's Month, in a festive and fun atmosphere.
To thank attendees for their participation, the first 200 people received special kits and gifts, while those 201 and up received a gift, ensuring that everyone would take home a memento of their participation in this experience.
Carlos Martin Briceño, Director of the Bepensa Foundation, expressed his joy at celebrating another year of this program, which has changed people's lives, and emphasized that this effort is made by and for all the people who attend the classes in the 48 parks where they are present.
The macro class lasted an hour and a half, during which time the atmosphere was full of energy and enthusiasm. The smiles and excitement of the participants were palpable, creating a vibrant and positive atmosphere. The program's regular students Activate+ were the stars of the event, sharing their experience and motivation with the new participants.
One of the regular attendees expressed: “This program has changed my life. I feel more active and healthy, and these events are a great opportunity to share that positive energy with more people.”
Activate+ is a comprehensive wellness initiative that seeks to promote an active and healthy lifestyle in public parks free of charge. This program, run by the Bepensa Foundation in collaboration with the main municipalities of the states of Yucatán, Quintana Roo, and Campeche, combats sedentary lifestyles by facilitating physical activities close to residents' homes.
The program Activate+ offers a wide range of components for the comprehensive well-being of its users, including physical activations and workouts, both in-person and online, classes designed to keep participants active, and nutritional advice provided by a team of professionals, all free of charge. The platform not only offers workouts and classes, but also encourages a holistic approach to well-being.
The impact of this initiative is significant, covering 48 parks in the states of Yucatán, Quintana Roo, and Campeche, and benefiting more than 200,000 active people each year.
