Bepensa Foundation is part of Yucatán Solidario

Yucatán Solidario is an initiative promoted by the Government of the State of Yucatán which emerged in times of pandemic due to the need to support families in the most vulnerable state.

The Bepensa Foundation, along with many companies and institutions, joined forces to provide support to those most in need.

Such has been the success of this program that it was recognized by the United Nations Organization with the Solidarity in Action Award, as one of the most humanitarian initiatives in the world.

In this regard, Marina Ponti, global director of the Action Campaign for Children, Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the UN, highlighted the solidarity and determination demonstrated by Yucatán and the Yucatecans to collectively promote a better world for all.

Thanks to Yucatán Solidario, more than 1.2 million donations have been collected and delivered, including 1,269 tons of perishable and non-perishable food, 13,261 personal hygiene and cleaning items, and more than 10,000 donations of medical and other supplies in Yucatán's 106 municipalities. Additionally, this initiative has benefited more than 150 shelters, soup kitchens, and senior care centers.
