The Bepensa Foundation renewed its agreement with the Food Bank of the Dominican Republic.

Santo Domingo.- The Bepensa Foundation renewed its agreement with the Food Bank of the Dominican Republic to contribute to feeding low-income communities through the donation of its products valued at approximately RD$600,000.

As a result of the agreement signed in 2022, 176,000 meals were prepared, benefiting more than 20,000 people. This new agreement between the Bepensa Foundation and the Food Bank consists of a monthly donation of Del Valle Citrus Juices, Country Club soft drinks, and Dasani Water bottles, products that are part of the company's portfolio. These products will be distributed to various locations across the country identified by the Food Bank as low-income areas.

"This agreement is part of the foundation's strategic plan to achieve its goal of making a tangible impact on the well-being of the country's various vulnerable communities and contributing to improving the quality of life of its people.", explains Carlos Martin Briceño, Director of the Bepensa Foundation.

For her part, Julina Staffeld, director of the Dominican Republic Food Bank, expressed her gratitude for the institution's continued support since joining this initiative and emphasized that these products, particularly water, are essential for the progressive realization of both the right to adequate food in the context of national food security and the right to safe drinking water.

The Bepensa Foundation reiterates its commitment to contributing to the empowerment of the country's people through an agenda that promotes healthy entertainment, the importance of education and recycling, and creating alliances and synergies between various social actors and the communities themselves.

At the same time, it invites citizens to actively engage in the country's development and sustainability agenda, aware that these efforts will contribute to the well-being of future generations.
