Foundation

Social responsibility has always been part of Bepensa's DNA.

It was created with the clear objective of coordinating and institutionalizing social responsibility actions toward the communities where Bepensa operates.

Lines of action

Health

Promote healthier lifestyles to achieve comprehensive well-being by promoting initiatives aimed at making a positive difference in the quality of life of our community.

Activate +

Its objective is to promote comprehensive well-being through an active and healthy lifestyle free of charge in public parks.

B Day for your health

As part of the Bepensa Foundation's commitment to the health of members of communities in the interior of the State of Yucatán, this program seeks to empower participants by providing them with tools to care for their health and prevent complications from chronic non-degenerative diseases.

Environment

Promote the prevention and control of water, air, and soil pollution; environmental protection; and the preservation and restoration of ecological balance.

ReQpet

It is a program whose main objective is to positively impact the improvement and conservation of the environment for future generations through education, culture, real recycling habits, and collection infrastructure for recycling PET in a circular economy model in the communities where Bepensa operates.

Cenote Program

One of the wonders found on the Yucatán Peninsula are the cenotes. They are magical, enigmatic, and unique sites, as well as the only source of fresh water in the jungle. In the state of Yucatán, the karst aquifer provides almost all of the population's fresh water.

Collection centers

In 2010, the Bepensa Foundation decided to create a program to support community groups of women in the ports of Dzilam Bravo and Sisal. They collect and stockpile recyclable materials and, through their sale to the Foundation, earn additional income to support their families.

Scorpion Reef

Since 2009, the Bepensa Foundation has joined the federal government's efforts to conserve the Alacranes Reef National Park, a protected natural area comprised of a natural coral reef located 122 kilometers north of Puerto Progreso. That year, a field station was donated to the National Commission of Natural Protected Areas (CONANP) so that scientists and researchers could have favorable conditions for their work during their stay on Pérez Island, the reef's main islet.

Social development

Improve the quality of life of the communities in which Bepensa operates.

Support for non-governmental organizations

Mexico is a country with enormous challenges but also extraordinary opportunities, whose most valuable resource is its people, always optimistic and eager to move forward and excel.

To Be Great

Providing opportunities for children from low-income backgrounds who have excellent grades and a desire to learn is the primary objective of the Ser Grande program.

Ideas are promoted

Promoting creativity, initiative, and social responsibility among university students is the driving force behind this initiative, which has yielded excellent results.

Regalove

The RegaLove program aims to offer the community an online platform for making donations via credit or debit card to support recognized civil organizations and charities.

Special projects

In addition to its work on health, the environment, and social development, the Bepensa Foundation carries out various actions to support the community.

Reforestation

Reforestation in our daily lives is essential for the survival of humans and other living beings; given the large number of fires, indiscriminate tree felling, and other accidental or man-made accidents, the green mass of our planet is diminishing.

Coastal cleanup

As part of International Coastal Cleanup Day, the Bepensa Foundation has participated annually since 2019 with a coastal cleanup day in which Bepensa volunteers join forces to recover waste from beaches, mangroves, and bodies of water.

Community Parks

Among the Bepensa Foundation's most important responsibilities is organizing activities that allow Bepensa employees to volunteer in their communities.

Bepensa Garden

A green space to promote family togetherness and a healthy, active lifestyle for the enjoyment of the entire Mérida community.

The Bepensa Garden was established in 2008 to commemorate Bepensa's 60th anniversary. It was born from a desire to express gratitude to the city that enabled the consolidation and development of one of the country's most important industrial groups.

The park occupies a 7-hectare site, located in the western part of the city and surrounded by residential developments. It was designed as a multipurpose green space with recreational areas, physical activity zones, and recreation and relaxation areas.

Bepensa Garden is equipped with:

  • Access plaza with main roadway.
  • Central multipurpose plaza.
  • Children's play area.
  • Outdoor gym.
  • Multipurpose court with covered and domed stands.
  • Cafeteria.
  • WiFi zone
  • Bathrooms.
  • Parking area.
  • Demonstrative Agavario

Since its opening, Jardín Bepensa has been constantly renovated to provide new areas and services year after year. It was recently the subject of an ambitious reforestation project that resulted in a significant increase in wooded areas for the enjoyment of its nearly 10,000 monthly visitors.

In this way, Jardín Bepensa offers the community a unique place in the city where families can participate in sports and recreational activities, attend shows, exhibitions, events, or simply enjoy nature.
