Bepensa Foundation and the Teletón Yucatán Children's Rehabilitation and Inclusion Center (CRIT Yucatán) in coordination with the Mérida City Council and the Sports Institute of Yucatan, invite the general public, athletes, and athletics enthusiasts to participate in the eighth edition of the Teletón-Fundación Bepensa Race.
This major sporting event will take place on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at 6:30 a.m. on Paseo de Montejo, with the start and finish at the finish line on 45th Street.
There will be a 3km and 8km race and will have 3 categories:
– Free Women
– Free Male
– Wheelchair / people with disabilities
Participants will receive a T-shirt and medal, and as part of the awards ceremony, recognition will be given to the top three finishers in each category and branch.
At the press conference and race presentation, we were joined by Claudia Ponce Miranda, general director of CRIT Yucatán; Carlos Sáenz Castillo, director of the State Sports Institute (IDEY); Jesús Aguilar y Aguilar, technical secretary of Sports for the Mérida City Council; Margarita Ponce Díaz and Carlos Martín Briceño, president and director of the Bepensa Foundation, respectively; and CRIT athlete Cinthia Rincón Sánchez.
The goal of this race, as every year, is to raise funds to support children and adolescents receiving rehabilitation therapy at CRIT.
