We are very proud to share that Bepensa was recognized as one of the Exceptional Companies 2023-2024 in Mexico, thanks to our ReQPET program, carried out by the Bepensa Foundation, as part of the best practices that contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals and that also integrate our global objective for a World Without Waste.
ReQPET is the permanent program of Bepensa Foundation In charge of PET collection on the Yucatán Peninsula for more than 12 years. Currently, it operates more than a thousand centers installed in public places. The recovered PET containers are sent to Petstar, the largest Mexican food-grade PET recycling plant in the world, which integrates waste into a circular economy. Each piece of PET produced and recovered undergoes a treatment that returns it to a state of 100 percent recycled and recyclable resin, ready to be used in new containers.
That is why the Institute for Quality Promotion and the Business Coordinating Council, grants Bepensa and the Bepensa Foundation this recognition, designed to develop the capabilities required by companies and institutions to achieve their objectives, starting with the evaluation and recognition of their management practices.
