Yesterday, we cleaned and sanitized the Cuncunul Cenote in Yucatán as part of our Cenotes Program, which aims to clean these important bodies of water and provide the community with a clean water source and a sustainable resource for the population to enjoy.
On this occasion, and since the beginning of our sanitation work in 2023, we have had the support and collaboration of Farmacias Similares through its environmental care program. SíMiPlanetThis is the 4th cenote to be intervened thanks to your active participation.
We especially appreciate the participation of Mtra. Sayda Rodríguez Gómez de la Secretariat of Sustainable Development of Yucatán which supported us within the Environmental Fair. We also had the presence of Margarita Ponce Díaz, President of the Bepensa Foundation, Lic. Monserrat Suárez Cabello, Manager of the Dr. SIMI Foundation, Lic. Tila Rosado Chalas, Municipal President of Cuncunul, Yucatán and more than 50 volunteers and people from the community who joined and contributed to this activity.
Thanks to everyone's support, we managed to recover 400 kg of waste. In addition, as part of this activity, reforestation work was carried out, with native species planted in the area.
At the Bepensa Foundation, we are happy to reaffirm these partnerships to work for the environment, because when we join forces, good deeds multiply.
